Health, as defined by the World Health Organization, is “an abnormal condition of the body that is maintained through a balance of healthy and unhealthy components.” Different definitions have also been used over the years for various purposes. Some experts consider good health to be indeterminable, while others believe that good health is a matter of being in good physical condition. Still, others believe that good health is something that is worth striving for and has little to do with what is considered to be an ideal or healthy body. The term Healthy actually comes from the Latin root “heel,” which means “of the heel.”

For individuals who have Healthy eating and a Healthy weight, a daily diet consisting of the following: fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, low fat dairy products, lean meats, fish, poultry, and other low fat dairy products, and dietary fiber. An individual’s daily intake of these components depends on their personal circumstances. Those who have Healthy eating as their goal but are overweight may take in less fiber because they need less food to feel full. However, individuals with Healthy eating and a Healthy weight can still take in all of the recommended components of a healthy diet. It is important for individuals with both Healthy eating and a Healthy weight to consult a doctor regularly to make sure that they are maintaining a healthy weight and are getting the daily allowances of nutrients that they need.

According to the definition above, being Healthy includes having a complete physical and mental state. Being Healthy and having a complete physical and mental state is important for a number of reasons. Healthy people have higher energy levels, are generally more alert, and do not experience symptoms of stress as often as those with a lesser healthy condition. A complete mental and physical make up also encompasses a person’s ability to live a happy and successful life as well as work productively at the workplace and socially. People who are Healthy include those who are content in their own skin, have a positive outlook on life, have high self-esteem, take pride in their looks, have a healthy self-image, are socially competent, and experience no major or minor health problems.

The most common defining characteristic of a Healthy diet is eating foods that are low in saturated fats, sodium, cholesterol, preservatives, and added sugars. Healthy foods generally are those that contain at least sixty percent carbohydrates, lean proteins, and good amounts of complex carbohydrates and vitamins. A healthy eating plan can be considered Completely Natural if it does not exclude any of the four’major categories’ of foods defined above. For instance, lean meats such as poultry, fish, eggs, and dairy can all be included in the diet.

One of the biggest differences between a Healthy and a Low-Residue Diet is the amount of daily caloric intake. A Healthy eating plan will include a wide variety of caloric levels so that no one type of food ends up being over-dressed. Eating plans that are void of any form of nutritious food are a recipe for disaster and may cause overweight, obesity, and related chronic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, and stroke. The reason a healthy eating plan needs to be low calorie is because our bodies use energy to digest the food we eat. When we eat foods that are high in calories, our bodies use fat stores in order to fuel the necessary activities of the body. These types of foods tend to cause rapid weight gain, leading to a host of health-related problems such as high cholesterol, obesity, and Type 2 diabetes.

A Healthy lifestyle includes a complete physical examination, including blood tests and laboratory work, in order to determine what your ideal Body Mass Index (BMI) is. It is important to determine what your ideal BMIs are, and also to monitor your progress in keeping them within the recommended limits. A Healthy lifestyle can be effective in reducing or controlling many serious diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, atherosclerosis, osteoporosis, and some forms of cancer. It is also important to take care of one’s self and follow proper nutrition guidelines in order to remain healthy.
